HP Envy M6-1125DX Screen Replacement

Replacing a HP Envy M6-1125DX screen 

A broken HP Envy M6-1125DX screen need not be a cause of worry. Laptop screen replacement is, in fact, surprisingly simple. Below, you'll find simple, step by step, screen replacement instructions. 

How to replace a HP Envy M6-1125DX screen 

Step one 

Before beginning your repair, check to make sure that a.)You have unplugged your laptop and b.) That you have removed the battery. You should aslo make sure that you have disconnected all external devices, (eg. speakers/memory sticks.) Next, use your fingers or a flat edged implement, (a debit/credit card or a razor,) to work the front bezel away from the rest of the screen casing. Take care when removing the front bezel , so as to avoid snapping it in the process. 

Step two 

You should see four screws, (two at the top and two at the bottom,) holding the eposed  HP Envy M6-1125DX in place, Remove (and safely set aside,) the two screws at the top of the screen and loosen the screws at the bottom. Next, take hold of the top of the screen and pull it towards you. Lay the screen to rest, face down, on the laptop keyboard.  

Step three

Dsicconnect the thick cable attached to a gold connector on the bac of the screen. Note: don't worry if you have to peel back any stips of adhesive to disconnect this cable. 

Step four 

You should be able to copletely remove the damaged HP Envy M6-1125DX screen from your laptop. To replace your old screen with a newloy bought replacement, followt the instuctions, (as given above,) in reverse.
