Lenovo G500 screen replacement

Step one

Turn off your laptop, remove the battery and unplug it from the mains power. You should also make sure that you have disconnected any, (and all,) peripheral devices and, that you have backed up your data. Next, carefully prise the front bezel away from the rest of the screen casing. Slowly work your way around each side of the broken screen, easing the fort bezel away from the machine.

Step two

Unscrew the screws, (six on total; four on the bottom, two at the top,) used to hold the broken screen in place.

Step three

Unscrew the screws, (six in total, three on each side,) used to hold the screen in metal brackets. Then, Take hold of the top of the broken screen and carefully pull it towards you, laying it to rest, face down, on the laptop keyboard. On the back, (and bottom,) of the screen, you should see a thick cable attached to a gold connector. Disconnect this cable by peeling back any strips of adhesive holding it in place and, by increasing it from its connector.
