Why Doesn't my new iPad Touchscreen Work?

I replaced my touchscreen and it still doesn't work

New iPad touchscreen doesn't work when fitted

Once you've bought, (and replaced,) your replacement iPad touchscreen/digitizer, you expect to be up and running in no time. Why, then, do you find that the touchscreen still fails to work? Below, you'll find some answers to this strange problem.

Potential solutions

  • Make sure that the touchscreen connector is properly connected.

  • Make sure all of the pins on the touchscreen connector are present. If any pins are missing, you'll need to purchase and fit, (or get fitted by a professional company,) an adequate replacement.

Further help and resources:

  • In replacing your iPad touchscreen, you may have worked another cable or connector in the tablet loose. Check to make sure that all cables and connectors are properly connected.

Note: remember, when fitting your replacement iPad touchscreen, to proceed with care and caution, handling all connectors and cables with care.
