Who Is Exempt From Paying UK VAT?

UK VAT is removed for customers outside the United Kingdom where the goods are being delivered outside the UK. This includes EU customers, Guernsey, Jersey and non-EU countries such as Switzerland.

EU Customers

Customers within the European Union do not pay UK VAT at checkout for eligible non-UK deliveries.

Guernsey and Jersey

Buyers in Guernsey and Jersey are also treated as outside UK VAT for eligible deliveries.

Non-UK Countries

Customers in non-UK countries such as Switzerland can have UK VAT removed automatically.

Business or Personal

You do not need to be a business. VAT removal is based on the delivery country.

How Do I Get UK VAT Removed?

You do not need to register for VAT exemption or contact us before ordering. The checkout automatically removes the 20% UK VAT tax when the delivery address is outside the United Kingdom.

Add Your Screen

Add your replacement laptop screen or display panel to the basket.

Select Your Country

Choose your delivery country during checkout.

VAT Is Removed

Eligible non-UK orders have UK VAT removed automatically before payment.

Will I Pay Import Tax When the Screen Arrives?

Possibly. When goods are imported into your country from outside your customs area, your local government may charge import VAT, customs duty or courier handling fees.

What you pay us

You pay Laptop LCD Screen for the product and delivery service shown at checkout. If your order qualifies, UK VAT is removed before payment.

  • UK VAT removed where eligible
  • Order value shown before you pay
  • Receipt generated for your order
  • Customs paperwork prepared for export

What may be paid locally

Local import tax is normally collected by the courier or customs authority before final delivery. This charge is not set by Laptop LCD Screen.

  • Import VAT may be charged locally
  • Customs duty may apply in some countries
  • Courier handling fees may apply
  • Business customers may be able to reclaim VAT locally

I did not realise I had to pay VAT when the screen arrives

Any product imported into the European Union, or into another country from outside its customs area, may be subject to local tax when it arrives. This is not a UK VAT charge and it is not charged by us.

If you do not wish to pay the local import tax, the courier may return the product to us. Once the returned product is received back, we can refund the purchase. Returns from Europe can take several weeks when delivery is refused.

Returning Products From Outside the UK

Returns from outside the UK need to be sent with the correct customs declaration so the item is recognised as a return and not a new import.

Returns and CN22 forms

When returning a product to us, use the CN22 form provided and attach it to the outside of the box. This customs declaration helps show that no tax is due for returning the item to the UK.

  • Use the CN22 form provided
  • Attach the form clearly to the outside of the parcel
  • Keep your proof of postage
  • Use the return paperwork supplied with your order where applicable

Refund receipts and import tax refunds

When a product is returned and refunded, we provide a refund receipt. This can be used as evidence that the goods were returned to the UK and are no longer in your country.

  • Refund receipts are available from your account
  • You may be able to claim local import tax back
  • Local rules vary by country
  • Check with your local customs or tax authority
