Toshiba Satellite L955 screen replacement  Step one  Remove the battery from your laptop and, unplug the machine from the mains power. Next, disconnect all external devices, (such as speakers and memory sticks.) Once you've done that, use your fingers or a flat edged implement, (a guitar plectrum or razor,) to prise the aesthetic covers, (located in each corner,) off of the front bezel. Next, unscrew the screws hidden underneath the covers and, set them aside safely. Next, gently, (but firmly,) prise the front bezel away from the rest of the screen casing. Work your way around each edge of the front bezel, freeing it from the laptop.  Step two  Once you've removed the bezel, unscrew the screws, (four in total; open in each corner,) used to hold the broken Toshiba Satellite L955 screen in place.  Step three  Take hold of the top of the broken screen and pull it towards you, laying it to rest, face down, on the keyboard in front. Next, take hold of the top of the display and gently pull it towards you, laying it to rest, face down, on the laptop keyboard. On the back of the screen, you should see a ribbon-like cable, (with a gold end,) attached to a gold connector. Disconnect this cable.
