It sounds like your graphics controller has failed.
What you need:
Inside the base of your laptop sits your laptop's main board (logic board or motherboard). Attached to this, and often not removable will be the graphics controller (video controller or VGA controller).
From the information you have provided, it would seem likely that the fault is here. Unfortunately, repair of a graphics controller is very difficult. Replacement is only possible if the graphics controller is removable. If the graphics controller is not removable, you will need to repair or replace the main board.
