Replacing an Acer Aspire V5 571 screen

Step one
Back up all of the important data on your laptop and then, turn the machine ff. Remove the battery from the laptop and, unplug the machine from the mains power. Next, disconnect any external devices attached to the laptop, (eg, speakers/memory sticks.) When you're ready to begin, use your fingers, a flat edged tool, (a debit card or razor,) to prise the aesthetic covers, (in the bottom corners of the front bezel,) away from the machine. Once you've removed the aesthetic covers, unscrew the screws hidden underneath and, safely set them aside.
Step two
Use your fingers or a flat tool to prise the front bezel away from the rest of the screen casing. Carefully work your way around each edge of the front bezel, easing it away from the rest of the laptop. When you have sufficiently loosened the front bezel. remove it from the laptop and, safely set it aside. Remember to take care when removing the front bezel (so as to avoid snapping it during the screen replacement process.)
Step three
Remove the screws, (four in total, one in each corner,) used to hold the broken screen in place.
Step four
Disconnect the two, small cables attached to the top, (and back,) of the broken screen. Having done that, take hold of the top of the display and, carefully pull it towards you, laying it to rest, face done, on the laptop keyboard.
Step five
Disconnect the cable attached to the back, (and bottom,) of the screen, (peeling back any strips of adhesive used to hold it in place.)
Step six
Remove the broken screen from your laptop and, set it aside. To fit your replacement Acer Aspire V5 571 screen, simply complete the above instructions in reverse order.
