Which Tablet Should I Choose?

Which tablet is right for me?

With the abundance of tablets on the market today, it can be difficult to decide which model is best suited to your specific needs. Below, we discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the most popular models, in turn showing you what it's like to use them on a day to day basis.

The Tesco Hudl

About the model

The Tesco Hudl is an attractive, high quality tablet which is ideally suited to individuals on a tight budget. The Hudl and the Hudl 2 run on the Android operating system, enabling users to download a number of apps (free and paid) from the Android app marketplace. As well as being able to access a number of interactive applications, as a Tesco product, the Hudll tablet has also been fitted with a number of Tesco-related add-ons. The Hudl is the perfect choice for individuals who wish to purchase a tablet in order to casually surf the internet or, to catch up on their favorite films and TV shows on demand via Google Play or Blinkbox

The app marketplace

The app marketplace on the Hudl and Hudl 2 is directly connected to the Google Play store. The store provides access to hundreds of applications, from YouTube and Facebook, to photo-editing tools. The choice of apps is endless.

The Samsung Galaxy Tablet

About the Galaxy Tablet

Like Apple's iPad, the Galaxy tablets produced by Samsung have also proven particularly popular. Like the Tesco Hudl, the Samsung Galaxy Tab operates using Android, with the addition of further applications produced specifically by Samsung. Like the Hudl, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is suitable for leisurely, everyday use, allowing the user to surf the net quickly and efficiently.

If you choose to purchase a Samsung Galaxy Tablet you will be able to access apps both via the Google Play Store, (as outlined above in the Hudl section,) and via Samsung's own app store. The photo below is a screenshot of Samsung's own app store.

Google's Nexus Tablet

The details

Like Tesco's Hudl tablet's, Google's Nexus range, when compared with other products on the market, is also fairly affordable. What;s more, Google decided not to load their own applications and add-ons to their range, choosing, instead to rely on the vast rage of tools available in the Google Play Store. If you're looking for an efficientsleek tablet that will allow you to use your favorite apps and watch amusing, online videos, the Google Nexus tablet may be the machine for you.
