Can I replace my Acer Aspire Timeline X 3820TG screen?

Replacing an Acer Aspire Timeline X 3820TG screen
Step one
Before beginning your repair, unplug your laptop from any, (and all,) power sources and remove the battery. You should also ensure that you have disconnected any, (and all,) peripheral devices such as speakers, memory sticks and hard drives. Once you are ready to begin, use a flat edged implement or a plastic opening tool to prise off the aesthetic covers found on the bottom corners of the front bezel. Having removed these covers, remove the screws hidden underneath and, set them aside safely.
Step two
Firmly, (but gently,) prise the front bezel away from the screen casing, working your way around each side of the display. Once you are sure that you have loosened the front bezel sufficiently, gently pull it away from the screen casing, (taking care not to snap it in the process,) and, set it aside safely.
Step three
Having removed the bezel, you should see the broken Acer Aspire Timeline X 3820TG screen sitting in a metal holding frame. Locate, (and remove,) all of the screws, (there should be 4 in total,) holding the display in place. Once you have removed these screws, take hold of the screen and gently pull it towards you, laying it, face down, on the laptop keyboard. At the bottom of the screen, you should a black cable attached. Remove this cable by disconnecting it from the connector holding it in place. You should now be able to remove the damaged display from your laptop. To replace your broken screen with a newly bought replacement, all you need to do is complete the above, step by step instructions in reverse. It's really that simple!
