Can I replace my Acer Aspire 5733z-4851 screen?
A broken laptop screen can be a source of great frustration. However, contrary to popular belief, laptop screen replacement requires very little technical expertise. What's more, in competing your repair yourself, you could save valuable time and money. How to replace an Acer Aspire 5733z-4851 screen
Step one
Before doing anything else, remove the battery from your laptop and, unplug all peripheral devices, (such as memory sticks and/or speakers.) You should also unplug your laptop from the mains power. Next, use your fingers or an opening tool to remove the aesthetic covers, (used to disguise screws,) from the bottom corners of the front bezel. Next, remove the screws used to hold the front bezel in place.
Step two
Next, use your fingers or a fat edged implement, (eg. a debit card or a razor,) to prise the front bezel away from the rest of the screen casing. Work your way around each edge of the front bezel, firmly, (but gently,) easing it away from the damaged display. When you are sure that you have sufficiently loosened the front bezel, lift it free from the laptop and, set it aside safely. Pull the top of the broken screen slightly towards you and unplug the cable which runs from the top of the display to the web camera.
Step three
Remove the screws found on either side of the broken screen. You should then be able to pull the broken Acer Aspire 5733z-4851 screen further towards, laying it to rest, ace down, on the laptop keyboard. On the back of the screen, (at the bottom,) you should see a thick cable attached to a gold connector. Disconnect this cable, (peeling back any strips of adhesive, if required.)
Step four
Remove the broken screen from the laptop and, set it aside. To fit your newly bought Acer Aspire 5733z-4851 screen, all you need to do is complete the above instructions in reverse, It's really that simple!
