What's more, many of our customers have managed to fit their newly bought replacement in just half an hour, (as their happy testimonials demonstrate.) Below, you'll find easy instructions that will help guide you through the screen replacement process.
How to replace a HP Envy 6 Sleekbook screen
Step one
Remove the battery from your HP Envy 6 Sleekbook and, make sure that your machine has been unplugged from the mains power. You should also check to make sure th you have disconnected all external devices, (eg. speakers/memory sticks/hard drives.) When you're ready to begin, use your fingers and/or flat edged implement, (a credit/debit card or razor,) to prise the aesthetic covers, (found in the bottom corners of the screen plastics,) away from the front bezel. Once you've removed the aesthetic covers, remove the screws hidden underneath and, set them aside.

Step two
Use your fingers or a flat edged implement to ease the front bezel away from the rest of the screen casing. Note: the front bezel is held in place using strong adhesive so, you may have to apply heat, (using a hairdryer or a heat gun,) to sufficiently loosen the adhesive. When you fell sure that the front bezel has been sufficiently loosened, remove it from your laptop and, set it aside. Note: the front bezel should snap in and out of place Remember to take care when removing the front bezel, as it is brittle and often easily broken.

Step three
Remove the screws, (one in each corner,) holding the broken HP Envy 6 Sleekbook screen in its metal holding frame. Next, take hold of the top of the screen, pulling it towards you. Lay the broken screen, face down, on the laptop keyboard, so that you can easily access the back. On the back, (and bottom,) of the screen you should see a cable attached to a connector. Disconnect this cable by pulling it free from its connector. Note: feel free to peel back any strips of adhesive that have been used to hold this cable in place. You should now be able to remove the damaged display from your laptop.
Step four
Fit your newly bought replacement HP Envy 6 Sleekbook screen by completing the above instructions in reverse. It's really that simple!
