Replacing an Acer Aspire 5830TG-6782 screen

How to replace an Acer Aspire 5830TG-6782 screen
Step one
Begin by removing the battery from your laptop. You should also ensure a.) That your machine has been unplugged from the mains power and b.) That you have disconnected all peripheral devices, (eg. memory sticks and/or speakers.)Step two
Use your fingers or a flat edged implement, (eg. a debit card or a guitar plectrum,) to prise the aesthetic covers, (in the bottom corners of the front bezel,) away from the front bezel. Once you have removed the aesthetic covers, unscrew the screws hidden underneath and, set them aside safely. Next, use your fingers or a flat edged implement to ease the front bezel away from the rest of the screen casing. Work your way around each edge of the bezel, separating it from the damaged screen. Note: take care when removing the front bezel, so as to avoid snapping it in the process.
Step three
When you are convinced that you have sufficiently loosened the front bezel, remove it from the laptop and, set it aside safely. Having removed the front bezel, you should see the broken Acer Aspire 5830TG-6782 screen being held in place by four further screws, (one in each corner.) Remove each of these screws and, set them aside safely.
Step four
Take hold of the broken screen and carefully pull it towards you, laying it to rest, face down, on the laptop keyboard. On the back of the screen, (at the bottom,) you should see a thick cable. Disconnect this cable, (peeling back any strips of adhesive, if necessary.)
Step five
Lift the broken screen free from your laptop and, set it aside. To fit your newly bought Acer Aspire 5830TG-6782 screen, follow the above instructions in reverse order.
