Replacing a broken Asus K50IJ screen
Contrary to popular belief, Asus K50IJ screen replacement is surprisingly simple. Rather than purchasing a new laptop, (or paying for costly repairs,) why not replace your broken screen yourself? The step by step instructions below will help guide you through the entire Asus K50IJ screen replacement process.
Asus K50IJ screen replacement
Step one
Before doing anything else, disconnect all of the external devices attached to your laptop, (eg, speakers, memory sticks,) and remove the battery. You should also make sure that you have unplugged your machine. Next, remove the aesthetic covers and the screws, (six in total; four at the top, two at the bottom,) from the front bezel.

Step two
Work the front bezel off of the laptop, taking care, (to avoid snapping it in the process.)

Step three
Remove the screws, six in total,) used to hold the broken screen, (and the top bracket,) in place.

Step four
Firmly, (but gently,) pull the broken screen towards you, laying it to rest, face down, on the laptop keyboard. Disconnect the thick cable attached to the back, (and bottom,) of the screen, (peeling back any strips of adhesive, if necessary.)

Step five
Remove the broken screen from your laptop. To fit your Asus K50IJ replacement screen, all you need to do is complete the above instructions in reverse order.
