Step one
Back up any, (and all,) important data. Next, turn off your tablet and unplug it from the mains power. You should also make sure that you have disconnected all external devices, (eg. headphones,) and removed any memory cards.
Step two
Use your fingers, (or an opening tool, guitar plectrum or razor,) to prise the front display away from the body of the tablet. Carefully work your way around each edge of the tablet, easing the two sides of the device apart.

Step three
Open the device and lay it on a hard, flat surface. Disconnect the battery, (peeling back any adhesive attached t the battery cable if necessary.)

Step four
Disconnect the loudspeaker cable.

Step five
Remove the back of the tablet and, safely set it aside. Peel back any, (and all) adhesive used to hold the cables ot eh back of the display in place.Once you've done that, disconnect the touchscreen flex cable, the flex cable attached to the display and, the tablet microphone.



Step six
Disconncet the Bluetooth and Wifi antennas.

Step seven
Remove the screws, (five in total,) used to hold the tablet electronics in place.

Step eight
Rmeove the electronics from the back of the tablet screen.

Step nine
Remove the battery from the back of the display.

Step ten
Remove the trips of adhesive sued to hold the screen in place.Once you've done that, use a razor or an opening tool to prise the screen away from the rest of the broken touchscreen. Once you've removed the LCD screen from your tablet, apply heat, (using a heat gun or a a hairdryer,) to the touchscreen casing, (so as to loosen the adhesive holding it in place.)


Step eleven
When you have sufficiently loosened the adhesive, prise the broken touchscreen away from the casing in which it sits. Use a heat gun or hairdryer to loosen the adhesive holding the back casing on the touchscreen in place. Remove any old adhesive still attached to the casing. Unwrap the new touchscreen. Apply new adhesive strips to each edge of the frame in which it sits. Then, stick it into place. Proceed by applying new strips of adhesive to the back frame of the touchscreen, and, stick it in place.



Step twelve
To complete the Acer Iconia B1-A71 touchscreen replacement process, simply complete the instructions, (outline above,) in reverse order.
