Replacing a Lenovo Y50 screen

How to replace a Lenovo Y50 screen: a step by step guide
Step one
Unplug your laptop from the mains power and remove the battery. Next, make sure that you have disconnected any, (and all,) external devices, (eg, speakers,) and, that you have backed up all of your data, (an important step in any repair.)
Step two
Use a debit card, a razor, a plectrum or your fingers to ease the front bezel away from the rest of the screen casing. Work your way around each edge of the bezel, releasing it from the laptop. Note: proceed with caution when removing the bezel, so as to avoid snapping it in the process. When you have sufficiency loosened each edge of the bezel, lift it free from the rest of the screen casing and, set it aside.
Step three
Unscrew the screws, (one in each corner,) Used to hold the broken screen in place.
Step four
Gently pull the broken screen towards you, laying it to rest on the laptop keyboard.
Step five
Disconnect the thick cable attached to the bottom of the broken screen.
Step six
Replacement Lenovo Y50 screens
Remove the broken screen from your machine. To fit your replacement Lenovo Y50 screen simply complete the steps, (outlined above,) in reverse order. It's really that simple.
