CSOT Shaking up the block

Shenzhen China Star Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd, a relative newcomer on the block of LCD producers has been shaking up the display market with innovative new designs.

Designs that have caught the attention of Lenovo in particular who have commissioned CSOT to produce many of the top end displays in their new range of Thinkbook, Thinkpad and Ideapad laptops.

CSOT have been busy producing new 14" screens for Lenovo's Thinkpad T14 Gen 3 range and also producing some of the higher end displays in Lenovos newer 16" range of Thinkpad T16 Gen 1 laptops.

Many of the newer screens being produced for laptops by CSOT are coming with higher refresh rates such as 120 and 165hz. And some of them are equipped with Privacy Shield screens. 

CSOT has also been pioneering some of the newer OLED low powered screens being fitted to the newer Lenovo laptop ranges, and new aspect ratios that bring a taller and less wide screen experience to the user.

Letterbox style screens which were all the rage around 2010 onwards are being replaced now with the older style squarer and taller aspect ratio screens. These aren't so good for watching movies but provide better productivity when working with tools like Microsoft Office and websites that scroll.

CSOT are also producing screens, mainly for Lenovo, with very high rates of sRGB, colour GAMUT and cd/m (brightness). That with better pixel densities and better contrast ratios brings a whole new level of experience to the user.
