Replacing a Sony Vaio NW screen

How to replace a Sony Vaio NW screen
Step one
Before doing anything else, make sure that you have a.) unplugged your laptop and, b.) removed the battery. You should make sure that you have disconnected all external devices, (such as speakers and/or memory sticks.) Next, use your fingers or a flat edged implement, (a debit card or a guitar plectrum,) to prise the aesthetic covers away from the four corners of the front bezel. Underneath these covers, you'll find four screws, Remove these also and, set them aside.
Step two
Next, use your fingers or a flat edged implement to work the front bezel away from the rest of the screen casing. Note: take care when removing the front bezel so as to avoid snapping it in the process. When you are sure that you have sufficiently loosened the front bezel, remove it from the laptop and, set it aside safely.
Step three
At the bottom of the exposed Sony Vaio NW screen, you should see a thin strip of electronics, This is the inverter board. Disconnect the cables on the right and left sides of the inverter board. You should now be able to remove the inverter board from your laptop.
Step four
Unscew the screws, (four in total,) at the bottom of the exposed screen. Next, gently pull the damaged display towards you. Lay the screen face down on the laptop keyboard. Disconnect the thick cable, (with a gold end,) attached to the back of the broken screen, (peeling back any strips of adhesive or tape helping to hold it in place.)
Step five
Lift the broken Sony NW screen free from the machine, Note: you'll need to attach the web camera, (and the brackets on either side of the old screen,) to the new screen. To complete your repair, simply follow the instructions given above in reverse order. The whole process is really that simple!
