Step one
Unplug your laptop form any, (and all,) power sources. You should also make sure a.) That you have removed the battery and b.) Step two

Moving from the bottom to the top, unscrew the screws, (four in total; two on each side,) found on the sides of the broken screen. Again, when removing the last of the screws, support the broken display to prevent it falling. Next, carefully take hold of the top of the damaged display and pull it towards you, laying it to rest, face down, on the keyboard in front. Disconnect the cable, (attached to the back of the screen,) by pulling it free form its connector and by peeling back any strips of adhesive.
Step four
